Forbidden:
That which has no basis in the sharī’ahor by way of sensory perception. And it is from a type of minor shirk.

Which can be futher divided into two sub-categories
Sensory (tangible) :
For example,knowledge, supplication and the likes. Such blessing can be obtained through an individual’s knowledge and in his calling people to goodness. This is considered Barakah, since we reap a great amount of good through it. An example of this,are the books of Shaykhul Islām and others from amongst the scholars,whom Allāh has placed an immense amount of Barakah in their writings and the Ummah has been the beneficiary of that
Religious -
such as praying in Masjid Al-Harāmin Makkah or in the Prophet’s Masjid in Madīnah
And that He makes you from those (people) that, when given, are thankful (1)
Blessings are a test, the proofs for this are many including:
and We shall make a trial of you with evil and with good” [21:35].
“This is by the Grace of my Lord to test me whether I am grateful or ungrateful! And whoever is grateful, truly, his gratitude is for (the good of) his ownself, and whoever is ungrateful,(he is ungrateful only for the loss of his ownself). Certainly! My Lord is Rich (Free of all wants), Bountiful
