Second Principle
They (the polytheists) would say, “We do not supplicate to them and turn towards them except to seek nearness and intercession [with Allāh].”And the proof of this,‘nearness’ is in His,the Most High’s,saying:
And those who take Auliya’ (protectors and helpers) besides Him,[say]: ‘We worship them only that they may bring us nearer to Allah.”Verily, Allah will judge between them concerning that wherein they differ. Truly, Allah guides, not him who is a liar, and a disbeliever.
- Quran Surah Al Zumar [39:3]
And the proof of this,‘intercession’(shafā’ah) is in His,the Most High’s,saying
And they worship besides Allāh things that hurt them not, nor profit them, and they say: “These are our intercessors with Allah
- Quran Surah Yunus [10:18]
