16.2 Continuation of From His صلى الله عليه وسلم Special Traits
His صلى الله عليه وسلم knowledge
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Am I not the most knowledgeable about Allah. And Allah said: Say, [O Muhammad], "I do not tell you that I have the depositories [containing the provision] of Allah or that I know the unseen, nor do I tell you that I am an angel. I only follow what is revealed to me."
His صلى الله عليه وسلم nation
Allah said: “You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” Ali-Imran: 110. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, I hope that you would constitute half of the inhabitants of Paradise.
His صلى الله عليه وسلم town
His land was Mecca, Allah said: “Indeed, the first House [of worship] established for mankind was that at Makkah - blessed and a guidance for the worlds. In it are clear signs [such as] the standing place of Abraham. And whoever enters it shall be safe. And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House - for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves - then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.”
Ali-Imran: 96-97. Makkah is a sacred place as the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "Allah has made this town a sanctuary since the day He created the Heavens and the Earth. So, it is a sanctuary by Allah's Decree till the Day of Resurrection.” And it is for the muslims until the day of resurrection as the
Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “There is no emigration (from Makkah to al·Madinah) after the conquest of Makkah.”
His صلى الله عليه وسلم Qiblah
His direction of prayer was towards the Ka’bah however it used to be towards Baitul-Maqdis. Allah said: “We have certainly seen the turning of your face, [O Muhammad], toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a Qiblah with which you will be pleased. So, turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it [in prayer].” Al-Baqarah: 144. The Masjid al-Haram (Makkah) is the first masjid to be placed on the earth, Abu Dharرضي الله عنھ said: “I asked the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم about the mosque that was first set up on the earth. He said: Masjid Haram.” Allah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “He who came to this House (Ka'ba) (with the intention of performing Pilgrimage), and neither spoke indecently nor did he act wickedly, would return (free from sin) as on the (very first day) his mother bore him.
The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: a prayer in the Masjid Al-Haram is equivalent to one hundred thousand prayers and a prayer in my masjid is equivalent to a thousand prayers and a prayer in Baitul-Maqdis is equivalent to five hundred prayers. The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: "No (religious) journey is to be undertaken except to (pray in) the three mosques: The Sacred Mosque (Makkah), the Aqsa Mosque (Jerusalem), and this Mosque of mine (al-Madinah)." He صلى الله عليه وسلم also said: “when you go to relieve yourselves, do not face the Qiblah or turn your backs towards it.”
